3.  Sub – pillars of Life – Trayoupasthamba – the three subpillars of life

4. Doshas – The Three Pillars of Health: The balance of the three doshas gives us health and the imbalance of the three dosha gives us disease.

Practical Syllabus

 (1.)   Shiroabhyanga: Shiroabhyanga, also known as Shiro Abhyanga or Indian Head Massage, is an Ayurvedic massage technique that focuses on the head, neck, and shoulders. “Shiro” means head, and “Abhyanga” refers to the Ayurvedic practice of oil massage.

(2.)   Padabhyanga + parshwabhyanaga (leg massage and back massage): “Pada Abhyanga” refers to the Ayurvedic practice of foot massage. “Pada” means feet, in this pressure is applied to specific marma points (energy points) on the feet. “Parshwa” means back , The massage techniques used in Parswa Abhyanga can promote the relaxation of muscles along the sides of the body, reducing tension and stiffness.
