- The Concept of Tridosha:
According to Ayurveda, diseases and disorders are caused by an imbalance in Tridoshas. Tridoshas form the core of Ayurveda principles. The entire Ayurveda revolves around these three Doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Without a deep understanding of this concept, one can never comprehend Ayurveda.
- The Concept of Body Type or Prakriti:
Each person has a dominant Dosha or a combination of dominant Doshas. This unique projection of Doshas form different body types, called Prakriti. Prakriti Parikshan or identification of body types is the first step in any treatment involved in Ayurveda. In this section, you will learn about different body types and the ways to identify them.
